Sassy Madam!

My wonderfully talented friend Mandy who kept me sane alongside Sandi while I was under house arrest (Thanks girls) sent me a picture she edited of Leah for me. I sent her a plain picture and just look what she did with it!!! She is one talented lady. Thank you so much Mandy!

Paperplay Challenge No. 2

I am also entering this into the Paperplay challenge. I took this picture of Leah with her brand new kitten the day we brought her home. There is hidden journalling under the picture about her first few days and how her name changed from Sonia to Sarah after a few days. It's a very simple LO but I like how it turned out.

Paperplay Challenge No 1

Here is my entry for this weeks Paperplay challenge. I know, my colouring is dire. All the more reason I need to win the Copics on offer as a prize this week! The challenge was to use an amimal of some sort on your entry. This is my first time trying to use this moggy. I used glossy accents on his nose to give it a wet look. Thanks for looking and hop over to the site to join in. It's great fun.

Paperplay Challenge-Dimensions

The challenge this week over on the Paperplay site is Dimensions. As I'm under house arrest with Swine Flu along with Cathal and the shakes have stopped I decided to give it a go. The butterfly is decoupaged and mounted on funky foam and then mounted on Whitewash Coredinations card. I think you can see the exact stitch where I got fed up with the sewing!

Can you buy time on E-bay yet?

So I'm sans one child today and was beavering away with these for the kids teachers on Monday.....

....when I get a phonecall.
Jerry: Can you eat Spider Crabs?
Me: I don't know, you're the one out fishing.
Jerry: Will you look it up online. I'll throw it back if we can't eat it but it's big.
Me: Call me back in 5 minutes.

Yes, you can eat Spider Crab. And it is glorious! But it's time consuming. I had to find the most humane way to kill it, how to cook it and how to get the meat out. It's also a pain in the ass when I'm questioned as to why I'm "cooking it that way" when I'm the one who was looking it up and actually cooking it. Never mind that it took over half an hour to get the meat out of. I have better things to do with my time you know. Like teachers presents. Cards. Laundry. Washing dishes.

Or.......
